Should I avoid certain foods?
Most mothers can eat most foods while nursing. However, if you notice that your baby seems unusually gassy or colicky, consider if you ate anything unusual 4-6 hours previously. You can than eliminate this food from your diet for a week. If no improvement is seen then his symptoms are probably not related to what you are eating. If your baby has improved it is wise to keep this food out of your diet for a few months. You can then reintroduce the food and watch how your baby reacts. Usually, babies outgrow food intolerance. If they display colicky behavior when the food in reintroduced, then they’re probably still not ready for the food.
